STANLEY RUN CLUB BRAND ACTIVATION

When Stanley sought to activate a pop-up café at Selfridges, the challenge was clear: we needed to leverage a temporary physical build into an engaging and relevant cultural moment. The goal wasn't just to sell product, but to ignite a localized energy in London that would bridge the gap between global brand prestige and authentic community connection.

STRATEGIC VISION

At Neon Bloom, we recognized that to drive sales and maximize organic content, the strategy needed to connect all the moving elements in an authentic way. We moved beyond traditional retail thinking to address four critical pillars:

Targeted Audience Mapping_ Navigating the intersection of the Stanleys community, the London run community, and the Selfridges audience.

Brand Positioning_ Connecting Stanley’s brand image and product line within the context of London’s fast-paced lifestyle and running community.

Community Integration_ Identifying the local catalysts that would make the brand feel like a close supporter rather than a corporate visitor.

Legacy Building_ Ensuring the week-long activation created a digital and emotional footprint with the local community that would outlast the physical pop-up.

FROM CONCEPT TO COMMUNITY

Our proposal centred on a high-energy partnership with London’s vibrant run club communities. By connecting London’s burgeoning coffee and running culture, under the banner of Stanley’s "For Every Move" messaging, we converted the café into a weeklong clubhouse for the city. Curating a diverse Run of Show that featured co-hosted runs for all ability levels, guided stretching, DJ workshops, and the platform for communities to come together. Finally, premium merch gave participants keepsakes of their experiences and newly made friends.

COLLABORATIVE EXCELLENCE

The project was a dual agency effort, delivering the weeks run of show in tandem. Neon Bloom spearheaded the research, strategy, concepting, and community partner management required to get boots on the ground. Meanwhile, O12 delivered on the physical touchpoints, ensuring the merchandise and branding building on the great work already done by the Stanley team to bring their Café pop-up to life.

The result was an immersive experience that didn't just showcase a product; it built a community, celebrated movement, and turned a pop-up cafe into a content-generating powerhouse.
